5) Awesome Castles
6) Single word titles, which let's be frank is just plain cool.
7) Magic and mystical creatures
8) Big explosions!
9) Nuanced characters with ambiguous motivations that drive a compelling plot as they strive to do the right thing as they perceive it or at very least the right thing for them
10) A talking snowman.
Ok, so Vile doesn't have a talking snowman but it is really violent and very very good. It also doesn't have songs that are going to get stuck in your head what with being a book an' all!
